An alleged sexual harassment case involved a 26-year-old female hiker with the initials F while she was hiking on Mount Merbabu. The victim, who resides in Purwokerto, reportedly hired a freelance guide with the initials H (29) from Grobogan after the two communicated via social media.
The hiking trip took place via the Selo route, Boyolali, on Friday (May 29). According to the victim's account, they agreed to a 'private trip' with the final destination being the Sabana 2 area. Upon arrival at the location, they set up a tent near the edge of a ravine, where the alleged harassment reportedly occurred during the night.
F claimed to be in a state of stress and fear because the tent's position directly bordered the ravine, leaving her unable to scream or escape freely. The following day, despite briefly getting lost while descending the mountain, F managed to reach safety with the help of other hikers passing along the same trail.
As a result of the traumatic incident, the victim reportedly suffered severe psychological shock, ranging from difficulty sleeping, excessive fear, to a decline in physical health that required medical treatment. The victim's family is currently attempting to confront the alleged perpetrator so that the case can be resolved and the individual agrees to offer a direct apology.
