Malaysian company Primaverse Sdn Bhd is preparing to expand its carbon credit business in Indonesia. This strategic move is pursued by strengthening collaboration with local communities, prioritizing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

This commitment led Primaverse to win a prestigious award at the IDX Channel ESG Award 2025 event at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Jakarta. This achievement also crowns Primaverse as the first Malaysian corporation to win the award in the country.

Primaverse's Business Development Director, Mohd Hafiz Bin Mohd Jamil, explained that the company's forest conservation program is designed to be inclusive. Local residents are actively involved from the planning phase to field implementation to ensure sustainable economic and social impacts.

In preserving the ecosystem, Primaverse focuses on reforestation using local endemic plant species. To accurately monitor carbon sequestration, the company combines modern technologies such as drone scanning and satellite imagery with community-based tree nursery management.

Not only focusing on ecology, this project is also integrated with real economic empowerment. The initiative is realized through the establishment of village-level carbon cooperatives, financial literacy and entrepreneurship training, and the launch of the "Adopt a Tree" digital program to build the economic independence of local communities.
