TANGERANG – PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) leveraged the prestigious GIIAS 2026 automotive exhibition to campaign for the new role of commercial vehicles. No longer just conventional logistics transport, Isuzu demonstrated how their commercial fleet can be modified into high-value productive assets that support the growth of the creative industry in the country.
President Director of PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia, Masayasu Hideshima, explained that the fast-paced dynamics of the business world demand operational fleet flexibility. Through this event, Isuzu is committed to providing commercial vehicles that are not only reliable for the conventional transportation sector, but also adaptive to various rapidly evolving modern business models.
In this exhibition, Isuzu showcased strategic collaborations with various local coachbuilders and brands. Among them are the Isuzu GIGA FVR, repurposed as a road sweeper in partnership with YMG Tech Mobility, and the Isuzu ELF NLR, transformed into a luxury campervan by Delima Mandiri Coachbuilder to support the mobility of adventure content creator JAJAGO.
Another interesting innovation was shown through the Isuzu TRAGA, conceptualized as a mobile beauty salon (Salon Studio). Collaborating with the beauty brand Putri from Paragon Corp and Delima Mandiri Coachbuilder, this concept demonstrates the great potential for MSME players in the cosmetics sector to reach customers on a mobile basis without being bound to a physical building.
Not to be missed, Isuzu also displayed the versatile D-Max resulting from a collaboration with SANA, as well as the New mu-X targeting the tough all-terrain mobility segment. Visitors of GIIAS 2026 could not only view the exhibition units but also had the opportunity to test drive the Isuzu TRAGA AC and New mu-X in the designated test drive area.
Completing the visitor experience, the Isuzu booth was enlivened with various technology-based interactive activities, including the Real Journey Game Simulator and an AI Photo Booth. IAMI also demonstrated the Isuzu Total Solution Support system, an integrated service designed to ensure the operational efficiency of consumer vehicles remains optimal.
