Welcoming the 42nd National Children's Day (HAN), PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) strengthens its commitment to supporting child development around the company's operational areas in Kalimantan. This commitment is realized through a series of Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs focused on improving maternal and child health, addressing stunting, and expanding access to education in coastal areas.

Manager Communication Relations & CID PHI, Dony Indrawan, explained that investing in the quality of maternal and child health is an important pillar in nurturing a quality future generation of the nation. This step aligns with the HAN theme, "Love Children, Protect and Build the Future", to create a conducive ecosystem for child development around the company's operational areas.

One concrete initiative is the Beras Kuning Program (Together with the Community to Reduce Stunting Risks) initiated by PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Tarakan in Selumit Pantai Village, Tarakan City. The program focuses on providing supplementary food, nutrition education, and mentoring for pregnant women. This collaboration also led to the creation of the MSME group "Tummy Tumu" which produces high-quality breast milk complementary foods based on local potential.

In the Kutai Kartanegara region, PEP Sangasanga presents the Healthy, Active, and Smart Toddler House (Bahagia) facility in Samboja District. This Bahagia House provides integrated care for toddlers at risk of stunting through developmental monitoring and specific nutritional counseling. This intervention step has proven successful in restoring the nutritional status of the majority of toddlers assisted during the program period.

In addition to the health sector, PHI also targets the education sector through PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) with the Floating Public School Program at SMPN 6 Anggana, in the Delta Mahakam coastal area. This program improves the quality of student learning through the provision of solar power, digital connectivity, and an environment-based curriculum and drug mitigation to prepare a globally competitive young generation.
