The General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Pohuwato Regency held a free health check-up activity in the "Kamis EMAS" program on Thursday (23/7/2026). Interestingly, this routine agenda was not only attended by Bawaslu's internal staff, but also involved the General Elections Commission (KPU) of Pohuwato Regency to strengthen collaboration between election organizers.
The health check-up, which took place in the Marisa area, was facilitated directly by the medical team from the Buntulia Health Center. All leaders and Civil Servants (ASN) from both election organizing institutions appeared enthusiastic about participating in the series of medical check-ups to ensure their physical fitness remains prime.
The Chairperson of Bawaslu Pohuwato Regency, Yolanda Harun, explained that "Kamis EMAS" is an acronym for Energy, Healthy and Fit (Sehat dan Bugar), Building Togetherness (Membangun Kebersamaan), Environmental Clean-up Action (Aksi Bersih Lingkungan), and Supervising Spirit (Semangat Mengawasi). This periodic program is intentionally designed to maintain stamina while injecting new work spirit into election supervisors.
According to Yolanda, the involvement of Pohuwato KPU in this agenda is crucial for building a more harmonious communication bridge. Prime physical fitness is considered the main asset for officers to carry out their institutional responsibilities optimally, productively, and with full concentration.
In addition to maintaining physical fitness, the momentum of gathering Bawaslu and KPU is expected to break down communication barriers. Although both institutions have different divisions of tasks in the election ecosystem, solid synergy and coordination are considered the main key to the successful implementation of elections with integrity in Pohuwato Regency.
