The All-Indonesia Roller Skating Association (Perserosi) of Malang City has officially inaugurated its new board of administrators for the 2025-2029 term. During the event held on Wednesday (7/7/2026), the organization reaffirmed its determination to boost the achievements of Malang City's roller skating athletes to a higher level at the East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) in 2027.
The Chairman of Malang City Perserosi, Erman Hernadi, highlighted the urgency of providing representative training facilities for the athletes. So far, the athletes have been forced to train by sharing existing facilities, such as the velodrome. Erman believes that independence in providing training venues is a vital key to improving the quality of coaching programs in a sustainable manner.
Despite being constrained by limited facilities, Erman emphasized that the fighting spirit of the athletes has never faded. This is proven by the fact that Malang City's roller skating sport discipline remains a respected force in East Java, thanks to consistency in development. His party is optimistic that with the support of adequate facilities, the potential of Malang City athletes will be much more maximized.
The Malang City Government provides full support for this vision. High hopes are pinned on the new management to be able to synergize with all stakeholders to surpass the achievement of fourth place in the previous Porprov. This synergy is expected to be a driving force to generate achievements that are even more proud.
In the roadmap towards Porprov 2027, Malang City Perserosi has set an ambitious target, which is to bag six gold medals and achieve the overall runner-up position in the roller skating sport discipline. This target is considered realistic by the board, as long as the commitment to construct a training venue and improve the quality of development can be realized as planned.
