The South Korean government has shown a serious commitment to supporting the readiness of its athletes ahead of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. One of the concrete steps taken is the formation of a special task force to ensure the safety and security of all contingent members during their competition in Japan.
As part of moral support, South Korea's Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Chae Hwi-young, paid a direct visit to the Jincheon National Training Center in Chungcheongbuk Province on Monday (29/9/2025). During the visit, he directly reviewed the national training of the taekwondo discipline, which is preparing for the largest sporting event in Asia.
During his visit, Chae Hwi-young boosted the athletes' morale to deliver their best performances to bring honor to the nation. He also took the time to take photos with the national taekwondo team as a symbol of the government's full support for the hard work they have shown during the preparation period.
This proactive step by the South Korean government is expected to maintain, or even improve, their glorious achievements in the Asian arena. In the previous edition of the Asian Games in Hangzhou, the Ginseng Country's contingent managed to record various impressive achievements, including winning gold medals in the mixed team recurve archery event, as well as the coronation of mainstay athletes such as Kim Woomin and Lim Sihyeon as best players.
