The contestation for the 2026 simultaneous Village Head Election (Pilkati) in Tulang Bawang Barat Regency is starting to heat up. The incumbent Head of Tiyuh Gunung Menanti, Tumijajar District, Hariyanto, officially submitted his registration documents to the organizing committee on Friday (31/7/2026). This political step marks his readiness to lead again and continue the wheels of development in the village.
Hariyanto's decision to run again is based on a strong commitment to improve overall community welfare. He carries a grand vision to realize Tiyuh Gunung Menanti as a progressive, independent, and prosperous village. This vision will be supported by priority programs such as equitable infrastructure distribution, village-based economic strengthening, and improving the quality of public services.
In his presentation, Hariyanto emphasized the importance of the microeconomic sector and local labor absorption. If entrusted again by the residents, he plans to expand job opportunities, foster Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and build strategic synergies with government agencies and corporations around the village area. The youth sector is also a main focus to increase the competitiveness of local human resources.
"Development must not only focus on physical infrastructure alone, but must also touch on strengthening the residents' economy. We want to maximize the potential of youth and MSMEs so that village independence is truly achieved," Hariyanto said when providing a statement to the media.
The registration process, which took place at the Pilkati committee secretariat, ran in an orderly, safe, and conducive manner. Hariyanto was accompanied by his family, community leaders, and hundreds of sympathizers who came along to escort him as a form of moral support for the continuation of his leadership in Tiyuh Gunung Menanti.
