A total of 1,404 residents enthusiastically participated in the fun walk event titled Sumedang Funtastic Walk, which covered a 4.5-kilometer route on Sunday (26/7).

The event was officially flagged off by the Regent of Sumedang, Dony Ahmad Munir, starting from the courtyard of Griya Plaza Sumedang. Participants then passed through several main protocol areas, starting from Panyingkiran, Cilengkrang, Jalan Serma Muchtar, Jalan Prabu Gajah Agung, Bojong Ragadiem, to Jalan Pangeran Santri, before finally returning to the finish line.

In his speech, Dony Ahmad Munir emphasized the importance of adopting morning walks as part of a daily routine to maintain physical fitness. He believes that a healthy body is the main foundation for building a productive and prosperous society.

Let's make morning walks like this a lifestyle and daily habit. If our bodies are healthy, we will be more productive. This productivity will eventually generate added value and improve family welfare, said Dony.

Furthermore, the Regent hoped that this activity would resonate positively with all residents of Sumedang. According to him, physical health will shape a strong soul, positive mind, and always produce concrete constructive actions for the region's progress.
