The Bekasi Regency Government is preparing to hold a public entertainment festival on August 21, 2026. This event is organized to celebrate the 76th anniversary of Bekasi Regency as well as the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

Bekasi Regency Regional Secretary, Endin Samsudin, confirmed the agenda while leading the morning assembly in front of civil servants (ASN) on Monday (August 3, 2026). He emphasized the importance of active participation from all elements of society to strengthen togetherness and ignite the spirit of regional development.

This year's celebration will begin on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, followed by a fun walk activity on Friday, August 7, 2026. The fun walk event will be held in collaboration with the Tourism and Creative Economy Festival (Gebrak) program to boost the local tourism sector.

Entering the middle of the month, the Bekasi Regency Government has scheduled a Scout Day ceremony at the Karang Kitri Camping Ground in Bojongmangu on August 14, 2026. The following day, August 15, 2026, the peak ceremony commemorating the regency's anniversary will be solemnly held.

As a form of historical respect, a joint prayer (zikir) and flower-scattering ceremony at the grave of the National Hero K.H. Noer Ali at the Attaqwa Islamic Boarding School in Babelan will be held on August 16, 2026. This series of commemorations will then close with the Indonesian Independence Day ceremony at the Bekasi Regency Government Plaza on August 17, 2026, before the peak public festival is held a few days later.
