The Campaka Sectoral Police (Polsek), under the Purwakarta Police, have extended their full support to the sports competition initiated by the Karang Taruna (Youth Organization) of Campakasari Village. The presence of police officers at the tournament's opening serves as a concrete manifestation of the National Police's (Polri) commitment to supporting youth development and strengthening partnerships with community members at the village level.
The Chief of Purwakarta Police, AKBP Febri Nurzam, speaking through the Chief of Campaka Police, AKP Atik Sakron, explained that sports activities play a strategic role in shaping the character of the younger generation. According to him, such events serve not only as an arena for physical competition but also as a space to instill discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork from an early age.
Beyond character building, the police view sports activities as an effective way to direct youth energy toward positive endeavors. This is expected to minimize the potential for juvenile delinquency and other negative behaviors that could disrupt public order within the Campaka District jurisdiction.
On this occasion, AKP Atik Sakron urged the participants and spectators in attendance to always uphold the values of fair play. The police, along with the organizing committee and local community leaders, are working in synergy to maintain security so that the entire tournament runs orderly until its conclusion.
This active collaboration between the police, village government, and youth organizations is vital for creating a conducive environment. Campaka Police emphasized their continued support for various community initiatives that have a positive impact on social development and community harmony in Purwakarta Regency.
