The Majalengka Resort Police (Polres) conducted a public order operation targeting several nightlife venues and illegal alcohol distribution points on Monday night (3/8/2026). This preventive measure was taken to anticipate potential disturbances to public order and security, which are often triggered by illegal alcohol consumption.
This enforcement operation was led directly by the Head of the Samapta Unit of Majalengka Police, Police Inspector First Class (IPTU) Dedi Sutikno, accompanied by the Head of Operations Guidance of Samapta, Police Inspector Second Class (IPDA) Dodo Suhada. Joint personnel were deployed to vulnerable spots identified as hubs for illegal alcohol distribution to restrict the scope of law-breaking activities.
In carrying out their duties, the police officers prioritized a persuasive and humane approach. Officers did not only conduct physical checks on visitors and managers of the entertainment venues, but also provided education on the importance of law compliance for mutual comfort.
Representing the Chief of Majalengka Police, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant (AKBP) Muhammad Aldy Sulaiman, IPTU Dedi Sutikno emphasized that this activity focuses on early prevention. The police are committed to taking firm yet polite action to ensure there are no public order disturbances that cause concern to local residents.
To maintain a sustainable peaceful environment in Majalengka Regency, the local police plan to conduct similar raids periodically. The authorities also urged the public to actively report if they find illegal alcohol distribution or nightlife activities that have the potential to disrupt public order.
