BUNGO — As a concrete step in maintaining the health of teenage girls while optimizing study concentration at school, State Islamic Junior High School (MTsN) 2 Bungo organized a distribution program for Iron Supplement Tablets (TTD). The activity, which targeted all female students in grades VII, VIII, and IX, took place orderly on Saturday (25/7/2026).
This social action was directly driven by the active collaboration between Youth Red Cross (PMR) cadres and the School Health Unit (UKS) team of MTsN 2 Bungo. Alternately, they visited each classroom to distribute the iron supplements while providing a brief socialization about the dangers of anemia in teenage girls.
The provision of TTD is a regular health agenda of the madrasah designed to anticipate the risk of anemia or lack of red blood cells. Considering that the teenage phase is marked by rapid physical growth and the start of the menstrual cycle, the iron needs for female students become very crucial to avoid physical fatigue.
The supervisor of UKS MTsN 2 Bungo emphasized that the fitness condition of the female students is highly correlated with their academic achievement. If the body is free from anemia, concentration and absorption of subject matter in class are believed to increase rapidly. Appreciation was also conveyed to the PMR and UKS administrators who swiftly managed the distribution of the medicine.
To ensure the effectiveness of the program, the female students were directed to consume the tablets together under the supervision of the school medical team. This educational step is expected not only to prevent anemia, but also to foster collective awareness about the importance of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) from an early age.
