The Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is encouraging a major transformation in the national Hajj and Umrah organization industry. Vice Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, emphasized the importance of business operators shifting from a sole focus on profit toward building a sustainable business with integrity.
During the 3rd National Working Conference (Mukernas III) of the All-Indonesia Haramain Entrepreneurs Alliance (ASPHIRASI) held in Batu City, Dahnil introduced a new paradigm titled "Travel Beyond Profit". This concept focuses on sound corporate governance, professional services, and educational guidance for pilgrims so that worship can be performed more solemnly and in accordance with Sharia law.
In addition to improving the quality of worship services, business diversification through the development of two-way tourism between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia was also highlighted. This strategic step is expected to attract tourists from Saudi Arabia to visit various top destinations in the country, while simultaneously opening up new revenue opportunities for local travel agencies.
Responding to these directives, General Chairman of ASPHIRASI, Amaludin Wahab, expressed his readiness to become a strategic partner of the government. His organization is committed to enhancing member competence and implementing transparent governance to maintain public trust. A similar sentiment was expressed by the Secretary General of ASPHIRASI, Retno Anugerah Andriyani, who stated that the results of this national conference will be formulated into a concrete work program to support national economic growth.
