Alfamart, in collaboration with personal care product manufacturer Cussons, organized a health service program titled "Alfamart Sahabat Posyandu". This initiative was held in the parking area of the Alfamart Grand Royal Regency store in Sidoarjo as a strategic step to expand basic healthcare access for the community.
Rani Wijaya, General Manager of Corporate Communications at Alfamart, stated that the program was designed not only for medical check-ups but also as an educational platform on proper nutrition and parenting. Utilizing stores located close to residential areas aims to allow the community, especially mothers and children, to monitor their little ones' growth and development more conveniently and regularly.
The event received full support from the local health office and Posyandu cadres. Fitri Ardini, Head of Posyandu Cadres for Pos 1 RW 16, explained that Posyandu has now implemented the Primary Service Integration system. This means services are no longer limited to toddlers, but also cover health check-ups for pregnant women, the elderly, teenagers, and productive-age individuals.
To attract local residents, the organizers created a livelier atmosphere, including a dedicated children's play area. One resident, Ika Puji, expressed enthusiasm for this unique Posyandu concept as it provides a more enjoyable experience for participants, especially toddlers.
