Police officers from the Samapta Unit of Central Lampung Police are increasing the intensity of surveillance on vulnerable routes by conducting Enhanced Routine Activity Patrols (KRYD). This preventive measure is focused along the Gunung Sugih to Kotagajah highway to maintain a peaceful and orderly public security situation (kamtibmas).

The patrol, which combines mobile and dialogic methods, targets various potential social vulnerabilities on the highway. Officers actively monitor points considered vulnerable to anticipate criminal acts, thuggery, illegal street racing, and other security disturbances that could potentially disturb road users and local residents.

Central Lampung Police Chief, AKBP Charles Pandapotan Tampubolon, through the Head of Samapta Unit, AKP Yusmawardi, emphasized that the physical presence of police in the field aims to provide a direct sense of security to the community. This activity also serves as an important instrument in narrowing the room for movement of street criminals.

Central Lampung Police, along with all sectoral police forces, are committed to optimizing these preventive patrols periodically. The focus of surveillance is not only on main roads but also covers vulnerable areas to eradicate all forms of illegal levies (pungli) and thuggery.

The police also urge residents to play an active role in maintaining neighborhood security. The public is asked not to hesitate to immediately report any suspicious activity or crime via the National Police Call Center 110, which is accessible for free and operational 24 hours a day.
