The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation has changed the criteria for talent search by companies. Today, mastering technical skills alone is no longer enough. The modern professional world is beginning to prioritize the younger generation who possess critical thinking skills, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the capacity to create solutions that make a real impact on society.

This paradigm shift was discussed in a forum titled "Beyond Profit: Creating Impactful Innovation." The event, organized by Permata Bank at the Catholic University of Indonesia (Unika) Atma Jaya, is part of the Road to Permata INSPIRE program series. The forum brought together the perspectives of academics, industry players, and the banking sector to broaden students' horizons regarding the new direction of the professional world.

Professor of the School of Business and Social Innovation at Unika Atma Jaya, Prof. Rosdiana Sijabat, highlighted the importance of the role of higher education in aligning the curriculum with industry dynamics. According to her, future graduates are not only required to master technology but must also have a deep understanding of sustainability issues and high integrity. She emphasized that future excellence is no longer just about generating profit, but the ability to deliver responsible impact.

Echoing this sentiment, Director of Strategy & Corporate Development at PT Fore Kopi Indonesia Tbk, M. Fahmi Rachmattulah, stated that sensitivity to human needs is a differentiating value that cannot be replaced by artificial intelligence. Fahmi shared three main principles for the younger generation: formulating innovation based on real social problems, aligning profitability with social impact, and placing investment in human resources as the top priority before building technology systems.

Meanwhile, Division Head of Corporate Relation & CSER at Permata Bank, Melinda Hoesain, emphasized the importance of collaborative spaces between the education sector and the business world. Through the Road to Permata INSPIRE initiative, which was previously also held at Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN), Permata Bank is committed to continuing to facilitate this interactive dialogue to prepare the younger generation to become solution-oriented agents of change in the future.
