The search effort for Munajat Dwi Romadhoni (30), a resident of Penajam Hamlet, Paciran Village, Lamongan Regency, has ended in tragedy. After being declared missing since Wednesday (15/7/2026), the victim was finally found lifeless in the Mount Kendil area, Jetak Village, Paciran District, on Thursday (23/7/2026) afternoon at around 11:30 AM WIB.
The victim's body was found at the bottom of a ravine approximately 12 meters deep. The discovery stemmed from a missing person report, which was followed up by Paciran Police officers and volunteer teams by combing the forest and hill areas around the slopes of Mount Kendil.
Paciran Police Chief, Police Inspector First Class Abdul Ghufron, confirmed the successful discovery of the body. The evacuation process was quite challenging due to the steep terrain. Joint officers had to place the body into a body bag before it was finally pulled up from the bottom of the ravine.
After being successfully evacuated, the victim's body was immediately rushed to the Paciran Community Health Center (Puskesmas) for an external post-mortem examination as an initial medical check. The victim's family stated that they have accepted the deceased's passing as a tragedy. Nevertheless, the local police emphasized that they are still conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the victim's death.
