The East Lombok Regency Government continues to finalize athlete preparations ahead of the XII West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Sports Week (PORPROV) in 2026. A strategic step was taken by the Regent of East Lombok, H Haerul Warisin, by gathering foster parents from various sports branches (cabor) in a coordination meeting held in the Main Meeting Room I of the Regent's Office, Thursday (9/7/2026).
On that occasion, the Regent expressed deep appreciation for the dedication of the foster parents who have committed to accompanying the development of regional athletes. According to him, an athlete's success does not solely depend on technique on the field, but also on an ecosystem of continuous support, attention, and guidance from various related parties.
The Regent emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration between the regional government, the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI), sports branch administrators, coaches, and foster parents. This synergy is considered the main key for athletes to focus their concentration on competition preparation in order to deliver their best performance and achieve maximum results for the region.
"Let us work together to supervise, guide, and provide concrete support according to our respective capacities. I hope this collaboration becomes the driving force for the East Lombok contingent to achieve more glorious accomplishments at PORPROV XII compared to previous years," the Regent said in his briefing.
The discussion in the meeting also dissected various forms of concrete assistance needed, ranging from meeting the athletes' logistical needs to strengthening mental motivation. The East Lombok Regency Government has high hopes that this spirit of togetherness can bear sweet fruit in the form of proud achievements for the entire community of East Lombok in the upcoming provincial-level event.
