Nahdlatul Wathan Jakarta High School, in collaboration with the Penggilingan Neighborhood Community Health Center, organized a Free Health Check (CKG) program on Monday (7/29/2026). This preventive step aims to monitor the physical condition of students from an early age, while minimizing the risk of health problems that could hinder the teaching and learning process.

This health screening activity was directly assisted by the Student Council (OSIS) of Nahdlatul Wathan High School. Following the event, Student Council President Zahratunisa, along with General Secretary Balkis, had the opportunity to interview Midwife Maria Ulfa, the person in charge of immunization from the Penggilingan Community Health Center, regarding the essence of the CKG program launched for the first time this year.

Midwife Maria explained that the series of examinations focused on three vital aspects. First, checking hemoglobin (Hb) levels specifically for middle and high school female students to anticipate symptoms of anemia. Second, blood pressure measurements to detect hypertension. Third, a random blood sugar (GDS) test as an initial screening step for potential diabetes at a young age.

According to Maria, the CKG program in the school environment targets students from elementary to high school levels in stages. The Penggilingan Community Health Center also ensures that similar services reach the wider community through the Posyandu (integrated health post) network as well as neighborhood-level (RT and RW) health service posts periodically.

The synergy between the educational institution and the healthcare facility was enthusiastically welcomed by the entire school community. With this free early detection, the school hopes that students will become more aware of the importance of maintaining health and consistently apply clean and healthy living habits in their daily lives.
