The Ca Mau Provincial Government has officially launched the fourth phase of its public health screening and examination campaign. This strategic initiative targets residents across various regions, focusing primarily on Vinh Hau Commune and Luong The Tran Commune, as part of a systematic effort to improve the health status of local residents.
Scheduled to run for 180 days until the end of December 2026, the activity prioritizes vulnerable groups, including low-income families, people with disabilities, the elderly, children, and members of ethnic minority communities. In Vinh Hau Commune, the program covers 17 hamlets, where residents gain access to comprehensive medical services such as general check-ups, electrocardiograms (ECG), ultrasounds, as well as blood and urine laboratory tests.
Local government officials, including the Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Huynh Huu Tri, emphasized the importance of early detection. According to him, this initiative is not merely a routine check-up, but a crucial instrument to mitigate the risk of chronic diseases and provide personalized medical education for each individual to ensure timely treatment.
Meanwhile, in Luong The Tran Commune, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Le Thanh Trieu, highlighted the digital innovations integrated into the program. In addition to medical examinations, the public receives assistance in synchronizing their electronic health records into the VNeID digital identity application, facilitating the continuous monitoring of their health history.
The program aims to reach all segments of society, ensuring that every resident receives screening access at least once during 2026. Through intensive cross-sectoral collaboration, the local government hopes to strengthen public awareness about the importance of a proactive lifestyle in maintaining health to achieve a better quality of life in the future.
