Indonesian financial technology company Flip has officially introduced its latest innovation, Flip Kasir. This solution is specifically designed to facilitate merchants in managing digital payments faster and more accurately through the support of Soundbox hardware technology.

In developing this product, Flip has formed a strategic partnership with Paytm, the Indian digital payments giant known as a pioneer of Soundbox technology since 2019. This cross-border collaboration is also a tangible manifestation of strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and India in the digital infrastructure sector and startup ecosystem.

CEO and Co-Founder of Flip, Rafi Putra Arriyan, stated that Flip Kasir is here as an answer to the growing need for transaction efficiency among business actors. According to him, this technology is capable of providing real-time payment confirmation, so that MSME owners no longer need to perform time-consuming manual checks.

Currently, Flip Kasir has been trialed with select partners, ranging from grocery stores to franchise outlets. The positive response received shows that this technology is able to help merchants speed up customer service flow and strengthen the operational foundation of their businesses.

Yinglan Tan, Founding Managing Partner of Insignia Ventures Partners and an investor in Flip, highlighted the importance of this collaboration. He assessed that this step proves Indonesia's strategic position as a global market for financial technology, and demonstrates confidence in Flip's ability to adapt international technology to be relevant to local market needs.

The presence of Flip Kasir also marks the expansion of the company's services, which previously focused on interbank fund transfers, international remittances, and bill payments. Going forward, Flip is committed to continuously developing features on Flip Kasir to support the competitiveness of MSMEs in the increasingly integrated digital economic ecosystem, including welcoming the potential from the expansion of the cross-border QRIS system.
