The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) is stepping up efforts to accelerate national education transformation. This strategic step is realized through the Deep Learning and Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) 2026 Training initiative, designed to equip educators to face technological disruption in the modern era.
Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Abdul Mu’ti, stressed that traditional education patterns focusing on memorization are no longer relevant. In the 21st century, schools are required to produce individuals who are not only critical and creative, but also possess strong digital literacy to adapt to changing digital work and communication patterns.
Speaking at the program launch event in Jakarta on Thursday (9/7), Abdul Mu’ti highlighted the urgency of technology mastery for teaching staff. According to him, the ability to operate artificial intelligence (AI) is now an absolute prerequisite for students to compete in an increasingly competitive and automated future work ecosystem.
Referring to Toby Walsh's thoughts on the concept of 'Homo Digitalis', the Minister explained that future humans will live in close coexistence with AI technology. Therefore, technological mastery is no longer a mere supplement, but a primary instrument for teachers and students to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the classroom learning process.
