Member of Commission IV for People's Welfare of the South Kalimantan Provincial Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), Nor Fajri, continues to push for higher health service standards to ensure more equitable and quality care across the region. This effort was realized through regional regulation dissemination (Sosper) activities targeting the community in Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) Regency.
During the event held at Alabio Community Health Center (Puskesmas) and Central Hilir Babirik Puskesmas, Nor Fajri explained the urgency of South Kalimantan Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 1 of 2025 concerning Health Administration. The Gerindra Party politician emphasized that the policy serves as a key legal instrument guaranteeing the public's right to easy and affordable health access.
Furthermore, Nor Fajri explained that the regulation covers a broad spectrum of services, ranging from health promotion and preventive measures to medical referral systems. According to him, the government's commitment to delivering excellent primary healthcare must be matched by public understanding of their rights and responsibilities as service users.
In addition to disseminating the regulation, Nor Fajri also invited residents to play an active role in monitoring the implementation of policies on the ground. He stressed that the DPRD is ready to act as a bridge for community aspirations if technical obstacles arise in local health facility services.
The response from residents attending the event was highly enthusiastic, with numerous inputs regarding the dynamics of services at the Puskesmas level. Going forward, Nor Fajri hopes that synergy between the government, healthcare workers, and the community will grow stronger to create a more responsive and transparent regional health system.
