Gia Lai Province has been officially appointed as the host center for the second edition of the grand Vietnam Tourism Day event in 2026. Scheduled to take place from August 13 to 17, 2026, the event is designed as a strategic step to strengthen the position of local travel destinations on the global travel map while supporting the National Tourism Year 2026 program.
A total of 550 delegates from various countries are scheduled to attend the event. The composition of participants includes 150 international travel agents from various regions, ranging from Asia such as South Korea, Japan, and Thailand, to the Russian market and CIS countries. Additionally, around 400 domestic industry players operating in the accommodation, transportation, and recreation sectors will also participate in the forum.
The main agenda prepared includes Business-to-Business (B2B) sessions focused on facilitating strategic partnerships and signing business deals. International delegates will conduct field surveys to explore the potential of unique tourist destinations in Gia Lai, which is expected to generate new tour packages and travel routes in the future.
The highlight of the event series is the International Tourism Forum entitled "Accelerating the attraction of international tourists to Vietnam: New markets - New products - New partnerships". This discussion will examine practical solutions to boost foreign tourist arrivals as well as concrete steps to strengthen Vietnam's tourism image in the eyes of the world.
The local government hopes that this international-scale event will act as a catalyst for investment growth in the service sector. Through this cross-border collaboration, Gia Lai is committed to accelerating the transformation of the tourism sector into a highly competitive and sustainable backbone of the regional economy.
