Festivities enveloped Gunung Raya Village, Mantewe District, Tanah Bumbu Regency, as the local community celebrated the village's 18th anniversary on Wednesday (8/7/2026). The series of events, centered around a grand Islamic sermon (tabligh akbar), featured prominent preacher Ustadz Muhammad Yanor or Guru Yanor, attracting hundreds of residents from various parts of the region.
Attending the event, Tanah Bumbu Regency DPRD member, Makhruri, used the celebration to gather aspirations and inspect the progress of village-level development first-hand. He highly appreciated the social and residential development in Gunung Raya Village, which is now considered to be growing rapidly and harmoniously.
During the event, Makhruri firmly proposed accelerating the development of the internet network in the Gunung Raya Village area. According to him, digital access is no longer just a complement, but a crucial necessity to optimize public services, support the education sector, and drive the creative economy for village communities.
Echoing the spirit of development conveyed by the legislator, the Head of Gunung Raya Village, Satra, emphasized that the 18th anniversary commemoration is a moment of reflection to appreciate the struggles of the village founders. Satra hopes that the synergy between the village and regency governments, along with support from the people's representatives, can be maintained for the welfare of the wider community.
The grand Islamic sermon was also attended by the Head of Mantewe District, representatives of the local police (Polsek) and military command (Koramil), as well as local community figures. The presence of various government and security elements reflects a joint commitment to maintaining stability and accelerating equitable development throughout the Tanah Bumbu Regency.
