The School Environment Orientation Period (MPLS) at SMK Bintara Batang, Batang Regency, brought a different feel this year. Instead of solely focusing on rules and regulations, the school chose to highlight student achievements as inspiration for incoming new students of the 2026/2027 academic year.

This activity served as a momentum for the school to introduce various avenues for talent development, particularly through martial arts extracurriculars such as karate, kickboxing, and pencak silat. SMK Bintara Batang teacher, Anna, stated that this step aims to build confidence and a competitive spirit from the very first day students set foot in the school.

The array of achievements showcased included the success of karate athletes, Radit Bagus Putranto and Denis Rizki Purnama, who managed to reach the podium at the Batik Karate Cup 2. Additionally, the kickboxing discipline showed off its strength through the achievements of Muhammad Wahyu Adi Pratama and Ananda Prasetyo at the Bras-Bres Boxing event, as well as Muhammad Disam Mustofa's achievement in the Musyafa Open Championship 2 pencak silat tournament.

Kickboxing team official, Abbas, emphasized that student involvement in sports competitions is not merely about chasing trophies. These events offer a positive space for the younger generation to channel their energy constructively while building a resilient character and keeping them away from negative social influences.

Through this educational and inspiring approach, the school hopes new students can adapt more quickly to both academic and non-academic environments. The goal is for students to not only focus on the classroom curriculum but also actively explore their potential to carve out achievements that bring pride to the school in the future.
