MANGUPURA – To anticipate disturbances to public order and security (kamtibmas), the Badung Resort Police (Polres) have increased the intensity of security measures in the premium tourist area of Canggu to Batu Bolong Beach, Badung Regency, Bali. This preventive measure was implemented through the "Blue Light Patrol" operation held in the early hours of Friday (31/7/2026), while nightlife activities were still bustling.

The patrol, which began around 02:00 WITA, was led directly by the Turjawali Unit of the Samapta Unit of the Badung Police. Deploying official tactical vehicles, officers combed through vulnerable spots to anticipate potential acts of thuggery, street crime, as well as the "3C" offenses, namely theft with weight/burglary (curat), theft with violence/robbery (curas), and motor vehicle theft (curanmor).

The Head of the Samapta Unit of the Badung Police, AKP Made Mangku Bunciana, explained that this increased patrol is a commitment of the police force to maintain security stability within the Badung jurisdiction. His team strives to directly provide a sense of security for both foreign and domestic tourists, as well as local residents who are still active late into the night.

In its execution, officers in the field did not only conduct passive surveillance but also prioritized a humanistic approach. Police actively engaged in dialogue with nightlife venue managers, monitored parking areas to prevent vehicle theft, and observed crowd movements along the main tourist routes.

The Badung Police also urged business operators and tourists to remain vigilant regarding their personal belongings. The public is asked to immediately utilize the National Police emergency service at number 110 if they encounter anything suspicious, in order to maintain the reputation of the Canggu and Batu Bolong areas as safe and conducive tourist destinations.
