Kodim 0816/Sidoarjo continues to strive to maintain physical fitness and strengthen camaraderie among soldiers through joint sports activities held at the Makodim 0816/Sidoarjo area. Led directly by the Chief of Staff of Kodim (Kasdim) 0816/Sidoarjo, Infantry Major Sumarsono, the activity which took place on Friday morning aims to ensure the mental and physical readiness of personnel in carrying out territorial duties.

The agenda began with a roll call for personnel inspection by the Logistics Officer (Pasilogdim) 0816/Sidoarjo, who emphasized the importance of safety factors and adjusting exercise intensity to individual physical abilities. After warming up, the soldiers enthusiastically ran three laps around the designated route together in a spirit of togetherness.

In addition to the joint run, the event continued with various recreational and competitive sports, ranging from court tennis, volleyball, table tennis, to physical fitness exercises. These multi-sport activities are not only a means to maintain metabolism, but also a space to build harmonious communication across work units within the Sidoarjo Kodim environment.

Kasdim 0816/Sidoarjo, Infantry Major Sumarsono, stated that such physical activities are an important pillar in unit development. According to him, soldiers who are physically healthy and fit will exhibit a higher work ethic and be able to respond to social dynamics in the community quickly and professionally.

Furthermore, Major Sumarsono hopes that all members of Kodim 0816/Sidoarjo will make sports part of a sustainable healthy lifestyle. The solidarity built through informal interactions on the sports field is expected to be fully implemented in their service to the nation, state, and the wider community.
