Behind his profile as a restaurateur and steel business owner, Ferry is suspected of being involved in deceitful practices involving high-level legal case-fixing.
In addition to culinary ventures such as Gontran Cherrier, Ferry manages a business empire through PT Tompotika Mulia Abadi. This company holds a strategic position as a steel distributor for PT Krakatau Steel via PT Cahaya Baja Sukses. Despite appearing well-established in the corporate world, Ferry's business activities are often shrouded in secrecy, including his operational office in Kebayoran Baru, which bears minimal corporate signage.
Ferry's conflict with law enforcement began with an incident at the Borobudur Hotel in 2025. Believing he was being shadowed by Densus 88 officer First Police Brigadier Faisal Faizurrahman, Ferry reportedly mobilized several Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) soldiers to detain the police personnel. As a result of this incident, Ferry and his associate, Michael Njoman, were named suspects for alleged kidnapping and assault.
