The West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) is proactively strengthening economic cooperation with Singapore through a strategic meeting in Bandung. The agenda focused on highlighting West Java's competitive advantages as a top investment destination for businesses from the Lion City.

Vice Chair of Economic Affairs at West Java KADIN, Hj Masrura Ram Idjal, stated that her team presented the immense potential of 21 industrial estates across the region. A primary highlight was the Rebana Industrial Area, supported by an integrated logistics ecosystem between Kertajati International Airport and seaport access to speed up import-export flows.

During the discussion, connectivity was a crucial topic. West Java KADIN is optimistic that the planned activation of international routes at Kertajati Airport in August 2026—serving Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor Bahru—will act as a catalyst for business efficiency. The availability of this air transit option is expected to cut travel times previously delayed by congestion heading to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Addressing concerns from the Singapore delegation regarding regulatory dynamics, KADIN assured that the West Java Provincial Government continues to pursue bureaucratic reform. Driven by the "No Complaint, More Investment" spirit, the local government is committed to providing intensive assistance and expedited licensing to ensure legal certainty for investors looking to capitalize on the manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.

Key sectors such as automotive, electric vehicles, defense industry, and agricultural products continue to be promoted to attract foreign investors. This meeting serves not only as a promotional platform but also as a concrete step toward reinforcing West Java's strategic position as an international trade and investment hub.
