PT Indosat Tbk (Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison/IOH) recorded impressive financial achievements throughout the first half of 2026. Through the acceleration of artificial intelligence (AI)-based technology and the expansion of digital infrastructure, the company successfully posted double-digit year-on-year (YoY) revenue growth.

By the end of June 2026, the telecommunications issuer pocketed revenues of Rp30.7 trillion. In line with this, the company's EBITDA rose 14 percent to Rp14.6 trillion with a healthy operational margin of 47.6 percent. Meanwhile, net profit attributable to the parent entity surged 49.2 percent to reach Rp3.2 trillion, thanks to disciplined budget management and efficiency across various work lines.

President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Vikram Sinha, revealed that this achievement was inseparable from the implementation of the "AI North Star" blueprint. This strategy guides the corporate evolution from a conventional connectivity provider to an artificial intelligence-based technology company oriented toward long-term value for stakeholders.

This digital transformation step also had a direct impact on customer service quality. The integration of smart features such as Anti-Spam, Anti-Scam, Sahabat-AI, Gemini AI, and Adobe Express successfully boosted national data traffic by 19.9 percent. The average revenue per user (ARPU) value also rose 17.3 percent to Rp46 thousand, with a solid mobile subscriber base of 93.4 million users.

Network expansion outside of Java Island showed significant results. In the Sulawesi region, data traffic jumped by 29.5 percent YoY. To balance the high digital consumption of the local community, Indosat has operated more than 15,500 4G BTS transmitters and increased the availability of 5G BTS infrastructure to exceed 120 units by the second quarter of this year.

A similar positive trend was recorded in Kalimantan, with a data traffic surge of 27.6 percent YoY, supported by the operation of more than 19,500 4G BTS and 340 5G BTS. Meanwhile, the Maluku and Papua regions recorded the highest data traffic growth rate in the Eastern Indonesia region, with an increase of 47.9 percent YoY, supported by the presence of more than 4,300 4G BTS.

Not only strengthening the communication infrastructure sector, Indosat also encouraged local economic empowerment through the SheHacks 2026 initiative in Singkawang and Ternate. This program is specifically designed to train female MSME owners to utilize AI technology and digital platforms to improve their business marketing and productivity.
