The Provincial Board of the Indonesian Padel Association (PBPI) Gorontalo is currently finalizing strategic steps to popularize the sport of padel in the region. This initiative began with a formal meeting with the Gorontalo Provincial Sports Department to align visions and build long-term collaboration.
The meeting, attended by the Secretary General and the division heads of PBPI Gorontalo, focused on discussing short-term and medium-term work programs. One of the crucial agendas discussed was the preparation for the official inauguration ceremony of the definitive board, targeted to take place in the near future to mark the official commencement of the organization's operations.
Responding to these plans, the Head of the Gorontalo Provincial Sports Department expressed appreciation and full support for the presence of PBPI. The department declared its readiness to facilitate and assist the organization in scouting and nurturing potential local athletes, who are expected to compete on the national stage.
In addition to focusing on sporting achievements, the development of padel is also seen as having a positive domino effect on other sectors. The sports tourism sector in Gorontalo is projected to grow, thereby promoting local tourist destinations and traditional culinary specialties to a wider audience.
