The East Barito Regency Government, together with BPJS Kesehatan, is strengthening cross-sector synergy to ensure the accuracy of National Health Insurance (JKN) membership data. This strategic step was realized through a coordination forum for sharing membership status information held in Tamiang Layang on Wednesday (July 29, 2026), to guarantee that the health insurance program is well-targeted for people in need.
The event was officially opened by the Assistant for Government and People's Welfare of the East Barito Regional Secretariat, Ari Panan P. Lelo. This crucial meeting was also attended by representatives from the Department of Community and Village Empowerment, Social Affairs, Population Control, and Family Planning (DPMDSosPPKB), the Department of Population and Civil Registry, the Regional Inspectorate, as well as representatives from the Muara Teweh Branch Office and East Barito Regency office of BPJS Kesehatan.
In his remarks, Ari Panan emphasized that the validity of membership data is the primary foundation for the success of the national health insurance program. He urged all relevant agencies to actively perform regular data updates to eliminate administrative obstacles when the public accesses medical services at healthcare facilities.
“Close collaboration between regional agencies and BPJS Kesehatan is absolutely necessary. Dynamic and continuous data validation will ensure that health insurance protection is truly received by entitled citizens,” said Ari Panan, emphasizing the urgency of the coordination.
Meanwhile, the Muara Teweh Branch Office of BPJS Kesehatan presented the latest JKN membership data in East Barito, including fluctuations in the number of participants and digital monitoring mechanisms through the PASTI JKN Web Portal. This system serves as an important instrument for policymakers to track membership status for both the Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) and non-PBI segments.
Through this forum, a joint commitment was agreed upon to streamline social security data governance to support the efficiency of social protection programs. The local government hopes that the integration of clean population data can foster the creation of more inclusive and equitable public services across the East Barito region.
