Understanding one's physical condition has now become a priority for urban communities, alongside the rising awareness of an active lifestyle. Responding to this need, Samsung Electronics Indonesia has officially introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9. These two smart wearable devices (*smartwearable*) are specifically designed as all-day health companions (*health companion*) to bridge physical activity and body recovery periods.
The importance of health monitoring technology is reflected in the usage data of the Samsung Health application in Indonesia, which has now exceeded 2.5 million active users. The presence of these smart devices is expected to help users accurately interpret their body's signals, rather than just recording basic metrics like step counts or calories burned.
Through the advanced Samsung BioActive sensor and the One UI 9 interface update, health monitoring begins as soon as the user rests. The *Vitals* and *Heart Health Score* features work to record resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), skin temperature, and blood oxygen levels. This biometric data is then processed into body readiness indicators before starting the daily routine.
Despite sharing a similar health platform, these two models target different activity segments. The Galaxy Watch9 features a compact design and light weight, which is ideal for supporting daily productivity. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is manufactured for extreme outdoor needs, complete with a 5,000-nit Super AMOLED screen that remains clear under bright sunlight, 10ATM water resistance, and the Snapdragon® Wear Elite Platform chipset.
To maintain workout quality, the *Daily Cardio Load* and *Fitness Index* features are introduced to evaluate whether the exercise intensity matches the user's physical capacity. With artificial intelligence (AI)-based data processing, complex biometric information is translated into practical and easy-to-apply personal health guidance for daily life.
Daily activities are also simplified through the *Raise to Talk* feature integrated with Google Gemini, allowing direct voice command access from the wrist. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2, powered by an 800mAh battery, and the Galaxy Watch9 are scheduled to begin their initial sales in the domestic market on August 14, 2026.
