BPJS Kesehatan has officially launched the Layanan di Ujung Negeri (LANURI) program as a strategic step to equalize National Health Insurance (JKN) access to the furthest regions. This initiative is specifically designed to overcome Indonesia's geographical challenges of thousands of islands, ensuring every citizen receives an equal right to healthcare services.
President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Prihati Pujowaskito, emphasized that LANURI represents the institution's responsibility to ensure no participant is left behind. To date, the program has successfully reached more than 11,160 participants spread across 558 service points in various regencies and cities.
LANURI is implemented through two main methods: Mobile BPJS (BPJS Keliling), which visits strategic locations such as TNI/Polri health facilities and tourist villages, and digital-based services via the Participant Service Virtual Office (Viola). This approach allows participants to receive administrative assistance and healthcare services without traveling long distances to branch offices.
Although JKN membership coverage has reached an impressive 98.6 percent, BPJS Kesehatan is now focusing on increasing participant active status to reach the 83.5 percent target in accordance with the 2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN). To that end, collaboration with various stakeholders continues to be strengthened so that services remain adaptive and oriented toward real field needs.
In addition to LANURI, BPJS Kesehatan is also integrating several flagship government programs, including support for Free Nutritious Meals and strengthening services in Underdeveloped, Frontier, and Outermost (3T) regions. This step is expected to continue developing sustainably as a foundation for a more inclusive national healthcare transformation for all Indonesian people.
