BANGKALAN – The Regional Government of Bangkalan Regency officially held the 7th Madrasah Diniyah Sports and Arts Week (PORSADIN), which took place at the IKM Building in Baengas Village. This event is expected to be an important momentum in identifying the talents of santri (Islamic students) while strengthening religious character and discipline from an early age.

Regent of Bangkalan, Lukman Hakim, highly appreciated the organization of this biennial event. According to him, PORSADIN is not just a physical and artistic competition, but a strategic instrument to instill the values of sportsmanship, creativity, brotherhood, and noble character among madrasah diniyah students.

In addition to the competition, the event also featured the inauguration of the Management of the Sub-branch Representative Council (DPAC) of the Diniyah Takmiliyah Communication Forum (FKDT) of Bangkalan Regency for the 2026–2031 service period. On the same occasion, the Diniyah Education and Private Teacher Organizing Assistance (BPPDGS) for the 2026 Fiscal Year was also symbolically handed over.

Secretary of the 7th PORSADIN Committee, Mahrus Ali, explained that this competition was attended by 325 of the best male and female participants. All participating contestants were the result of a rigorous selection process previously held at the sub-district level.

The event features competitions in various categories of religion, arts, and sports. These include Musabaqah Tilawatil Kutub (MTK), Musabaqah Tilawatil Ghayah (MTG), bilingual speeches (Arabic and Indonesian), Islamic poetry, quiz bowl, yellow book reading (Kitab Safinatun Najah for the Ula level and Kitab Fathul Qarib for the Wustha level), as well as sporting events such as sprints and table tennis.

The first-place winners at the regency level will later be sent as the official delegation of Bangkalan Regency to the East Java Provincial level PORSADIN, which is scheduled to take place in Lumajang Regency in September 2026. If they qualify, they will continue their struggle at the national level, which will be held in Solo, Central Java.
