The performance of telecommunications issuers in Indonesia is predicted to show a positive trend in the second quarter of 2026. Although this period does not cover peak demand seasons such as Christmas and New Year, analysts project an aggregate Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) increase of 4%.
This positive sentiment provides a breath of fresh air for market participants while strengthening investment prospects in sector stocks through the end of 2026. This optimism is driven by consistent corporate fundamentals maintained amid challenging market dynamics.
Specifically, three domestic telecommunications giants, namely PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk. (TLKM), PT Indosat Tbk. (ISAT), and PT XL Axiata Tbk. (EXCL), are reported to continue maintaining share price recovery momentum. This recovery trend has been stably observed since October 2025 and continues into the May to June 2026 period.
Stable ARPU growth despite the absence of seasonal consumption spikes indicates the effectiveness of monetization strategies implemented by each operator. Success in optimizing the service value per user is considered a key factor in maintaining the attractiveness of telecommunications stocks to both institutional and retail investors throughout the year.
