The weekly award event at MTsN 1 Bandar Lampung became a special moment for Muhammad Gibran Khalfani Gavoer. The madrasah student was named "Student of the Week" after successfully achieving brilliant achievements in karate at both regional and national levels.
The presentation of the award in the form of a medal was conducted directly by the Head of MTsN 1 Bandar Lampung, Hamsir, during Monday's flag ceremony (3/8/2026). This moment of appreciation in front of all teachers, staff, and students was aimed at celebrating Gibran's dedication and hard work that has brought honor to the school.
Gibran's brilliant achievements include 1st Place in the Male Novice Kumite -55 kg category at the Indonesian Open Karate Championship 2026. In addition, he also managed to secure the top podium as 1st Place in the Male Novice Kumite +50 kg at the provincial-level Lampung Student Olympic 2026.
The Head of the Madrasah, Hamsir, expressed his pride in the consistency and discipline shown by Gibran. He hopes that this achievement will not only make his family and the school proud, but also motivate other students to bravely hone their talents in various fields.
