Golkar Party DPP Chairman, Ali Mochtar Ngabalin, responded to the public spotlight on the political safari carried out by the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. In his view, the touring activities to meet various parties are not a form of anxiety or lack of confidence of a politician, but rather a manifestation of the strong influence that still clings to the figure of Jokowi.

Ngabalin emphasized that the massive public attention to every step Jokowi takes is an indicator that the former head of state is still a central figure in the national political constellation. According to him, the public needs to see Jokowi's position as a phenomenal figure capable of absorbing and storing the nation's energy.

"This is not about a lack of confidence; rather, we must be careful of a figure who is currently the subject of hot discussion in the public space. He is Joko Widodo, who possesses great political energy," Ngabalin said during a discussion in Jakarta, Friday (26/6/2026).

Furthermore, Ngabalin emphasized that the political safari activity is normal and reasonable in Indonesia's democratic climate. He questioned the concerns of certain parties regarding the former president's moves, which he deemed unnecessary to debate excessively.

On the same occasion, Ngabalin also expressed the alignment of views between Jokowi and the Golkar Party regarding the future of national leadership. He explicitly voiced support for the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair to continue the government for two terms to maintain stability and national interests.
