The Drug Investigation Unit of the Serang Police has rearrested a narcotics recidivist with the initials AK (38). The suspect, a resident of Kareo Village, Jawilan District, Serang Regency, desperately returned to distributing crystal meth on the grounds of pressing economic needs and being entangled in debt.
Serang Police Chief, AKBP Andri Kurniawan, revealed that the suspect was arrested on the roadside in Cemplang Village, Jawilan District, after officers conducted an undercover buy. This swift action was taken after the police received information regarding the suspect's suspicious activities following his release from prison.
During a search at the scene, officers managed to find four packages of crystal meth ready for distribution. The evidence was hidden by the suspect inside a folded tissue paper tucked into his pants pocket.
Head of the Serang Police Drug Investigation Unit, AKP Bondan Rahadiansyah, explained that his team is currently investigating the drug trafficking network involving the suspect. Based on the investigation results, AK admitted that he had only been active in distributing drugs again for three months due to difficulties in finding a new job and having a pile of debts that needed to be paid immediately.
Until now, the police are still hunting for the main supplier of the crystal meth, with the initials SO, who has been put on the Wanted List (DPO). The police also urged the public to play an active role by immediately reporting if they find any indications of illegal drug transactions in their neighborhood.
