The Mayor of Tangerang, H. Sachrudin, urged the public not to hesitate to check their physical condition through the Free Health Check (CKG) program. According to him, early detection is crucial so that potential health issues can be immediately identified and treated medically before their condition worsens.

Sachrudin conveyed this invitation while directly reviewing the implementation of CKG at GOR Puri Beta, Larangan District, on Monday (3/8/2026). During the review, he was accompanied directly by the Governor of Banten, H. Andra Soni, to ensure the services ran optimally and on target for local residents.

Sachrudin emphasized that the fear of knowing about a disease is actually the main obstacle in maintaining physical fitness. The CKG program is designed not merely for mass medical checks, but as a strategic step to build collective public awareness to care more about their own health from the very beginning.

To date, the realization of the CKG program in Tangerang City has shown a significant positive trend, with achievements reaching 98 percent of the set target. Sachrudin expressed deep appreciation for the full support of the Banten Provincial Government in aligning this basic service program for the welfare of the community.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Banten, H. Andra Soni, expressed optimism that his region can meet and exceed the CKG target mandated by the central government. Out of the overall target of 5.9 million residents in Banten Province, as many as 5.1 million people have successfully gained access to the free check-up services.

This achievement places Banten Province in third place nationally, with Tangerang City being one of the largest contributing areas. Andra emphasized the importance of balancing promotive and preventive efforts through early detection, so that healthcare does not only focus on treatment after falling ill.
