The Samarinda City Government continues to demonstrate its commitment to the welfare of all segments of society, including inmates. The Deputy Mayor of Samarinda declared his readiness to attend and directly monitor the implementation of the free health check-ups scheduled to take place at the State Detention Center (Rutan).
This proactive medical service activity was initiated to ensure that all inmates receive their right to decent and adequate health services during their rehabilitation period. Through this program, it is hoped that potential health issues and the spread of diseases within the detention center environment can be detected and anticipated early on.
In addition to providing moral support, the presence of local government officials in this activity symbolizes a strong synergy between the Samarinda City Government, related health institutions, and the Detention Center. This collaborative effort emphasizes that the fulfillment of basic human rights, particularly in the field of physical health, remains a top priority regardless of a person's social and legal status.
