The Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General's Office, Febrie Adriansyah, has issued a firm clarification regarding the rumors linking his name to a series of searches conducted by the police. Febrie strongly denied any involvement in business activities at a cafe in the Cipete area, South Jakarta, which was recently searched by National Police investigators.
In a press statement in Jakarta, Friday (10/7/2026), Febrie urged the public not to draw premature conclusions amid the buzz of information circulating on social media. He emphasized that the Attorney General's Office fully respects the investigation process currently being carried out by law enforcement officials to ensure the truth of the facts on the ground.
"We respect the entire ongoing law enforcement process. We hope this inter-agency collaboration can bring clarity to the case so that the public receives accurate information," Febrie said in response to the growing speculation.
In addition to discussing the cafe issue, Febrie also addressed the discovery of money in a residence in the Sentul area, which had caught public attention. He stated that the money found has an official owner and is related to certain activities that will be explained in accordance with applicable legal procedures at the appropriate time.
Previously, Febrie's name came under public spotlight after his private residence in the Kebayoran Baru area received security from TNI (military) personnel. The searches conducted by the Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya) at several locations, including the cafe in Cipete, are known to be part of the development of investigations into alleged corruption cases, including the Asabri, Jiwasraya, and coal sector cases.
