Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 4 Kerinci has begun preparing for the Madrasah Art and Sports Competition (AKSIOMA) at the Kerinci Regency level in 2026. To finalize preparations, the school's sports development team held a rigorous selection process for students on the madrasah's sports field.
This selection agenda was enthusiastically joined by dozens of students from various grade levels. There are five main sports branches focused on in this selection: futsal, volleyball, table tennis, the 100-meter dash, and chess.
The sports development team of MTsN 4 Kerinci explained that this selection is not just a formality. They emphasize assessment in technical ability, physical endurance, competitive mental stability, and the discipline of the prospective athletes. This is done to ensure the selected representatives are fully prepared to compete at the regency level.
During the selection process, physical education teachers objectively monitor the physical movements, strategic understanding, and reaction speed of the students on the field. Students who pass the selection will immediately enter an intensive training camp program to finalize their readiness.
With preparations starting early, the school has high hopes for the MTsN 4 Kerinci contingent. Their main target at the upcoming 2026 Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) Kerinci AKSIOMA is to bring home the overall champion title and make the madrasah proud.
