BUNGO — State Islamic Junior High School (MTsN) 2 Bungo is preparing to organize the School Children Immunization Month (BIAS) program in August 2026. This proactive step is being taken through close collaboration with the Rimbo Tengah Community Health Center (UPT Puskesmas) as a concrete effort to maintain immunity and improve the health status of students within the school environment.
The mass immunization, centered in the School Health Unit (UKS) room, refers to the official notification letter from the UPT Puskesmas Rimbo Tengah Number 445/1640/PKM-RT/VII/2026. This activity is also a concrete implementation of the Joint Decree of Four Ministers regarding the commitment to improve the health status of students throughout Indonesia.
In this BIAS program, two main types of vaccines will be distributed. First, the Measles Rubella (MR) vaccine to protect students from the threat of measles and rubella. Second, the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, specifically for grade 9 female students who have not yet received it, as a preventive measure to reduce the risk of cervical cancer from an early age.
To ensure a smooth vaccination process, the school requests active cooperation and support from parents or guardians. Some important requirements that students must prepare before the injection include submitting a copy of their Family Card (KK) for online data entry, ensuring they are in prime physical condition, and having breakfast beforehand on the day of implementation.
Through this thorough preparation, the school hopes that the BIAS program can run optimally without obstacles. This cross-sector synergy is targeted to produce a healthy, resilient young generation with good herd immunity to support the continuity of the teaching and learning process.
