The Da Nang City Government has officially introduced the 2026 Entertainment Festival series in an effort to strengthen the city's image as a hub for beach tourism destinations and international event hosts. This annual program is designed to provide a comprehensive experience for tourists through the integration of cultural arts, sports competitions, and traditional culinary offerings blended with a modern style.
Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tan Van Vuong, revealed that the development of festival-based tourism has had a significant economic impact. Throughout the first half of 2026, Da Nang recorded over 9.77 million tourist visits, with revenue from accommodation and related services reaching 34.7 trillion VND, marking a positive growth of over 20% compared to the previous period.
Carrying the main theme "Da Nang - Touching Authenticity" and the key message "Feel - Enjoy - Explore," the festival will open spectacularly on July 23 at East Sea Park. The opening performance is scheduled to feature a coastal culture reconstruction, ranging from traditional fishermen's lives to the city's transformation toward modernity.
The festival's lineup of activities will run densely from June to August 2026. Visitors can enjoy various unique attractions, such as light festivals, seaside meditation, Son Tra Peninsula exploration, and coastal EDM music spaces. In addition, sport tourism is also a primary focus, featuring various national-scale competitions such as beach volleyball, football, and SUP paddleboarding.
Through this initiative, Da Nang is committed to continuously innovating its tourism products. In addition to diversifying cultural and sports activities, the local government is actively exploring strategic partnerships with global investors, including the high-tech sector from Germany, to ensure the sustainable competitiveness of Da Nang's tourism on a global level.
