The Da Nang Municipal Government has officially designated science development, innovation, and digital transformation as the primary drivers of regional economic growth. This move is backed by specific policies approved by the National Assembly and a list of strategic technologies designated by the central government, establishing a strong legal foundation for Da Nang to attract foreign direct investment into future industrial sectors.
During a series of strategic workshops featuring domestic and international experts, Da Nang explored the potential for developing a semiconductor ecosystem, spanning advanced packaging, artificial intelligence (AI), and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. Discussions focused on reinforcing synergies among government, academia, and industry to cultivate a high-quality workforce capable of competing on a global scale.
Demonstrating a tangible commitment, the Da Nang Center for Integrated Circuit Design and Artificial Intelligence Research and Training (DSAC) has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with various research institutions and leading technology companies. This strategic cooperation covers technology transfer, scientific research, and the creation of business networks vital to the growth of the local innovation ecosystem.
Alongside in-depth discussions, the city also held a technology exhibition at the Furama International Convention Center, displaying various cutting-edge innovation models and products. Through these targeted measures, Da Nang is confident in expanding international partnerships while significantly increasing its role in the global semiconductor supply chain in the future.
