Enterprise software giant SAP has officially reshuffled its leadership in the Asia Pacific region by appointing Verena Siow as its new President. This strategic move was made to strengthen the company's position amid fierce competition among global technology solution providers, particularly in its efforts to help corporations undergo digital transformation based on artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing.
Verena Siow is not a new face in the company's ecosystem. With a three-decade track record in the technology industry, including 15 years of dedication within SAP, she is considered to have a deep understanding of the regional market. Previously, she successfully held the roles of Business Suite Leader APAC and Managing Director of SAP Southeast Asia, making her a central figure in accelerating cloud business growth for customers.
SAP's Chief Revenue Officer for APAC, EMEA, and MEE, Manos Raptopoulos, expressed that this appointment was based on Verena's ability to synergize AI innovation with specific customer needs. Verena's leadership is expected to solidify the company's strategy in facing challenges in the dynamic Asia Pacific market, which covers a vast operational region spanning from India to Australia.
Responding to her new responsibilities, Verena Siow stressed that now is a crucial point for companies in Asia Pacific to adopt the concept of 'Autonomous Enterprise'. According to her, the integration of data, business processes, and artificial intelligence will be the key for customers to remain relevant and competitive in the rapidly evolving digital era.
