The Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) is currently intensifying efforts to strengthen the business ecosystem of the country's plantation sector. Through strategic initiatives, this institution actively brings together Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with investors and potential business partners to create a more sustainable value chain.

The Head of the Community Cooperation and MSME Division of BPDP, Helmi Muhansah, emphasized that Indonesia's plantation commodities hold huge potential that has not yet been optimally tapped. Through assistance programs, BPDP is committed to increasing the capacity of business actors while expanding market reach, both nationally and internationally.

As a concrete step, BPDP participated in the Info Franchise & Business Concept (IFBC) 2026 exhibition held at the Jogja Expo Center (JEC) from July 3-5. Carrying the theme “Grow Beyond Boundaries”, this event served as a platform for MSMEs to showcase their potential and offer various plantation commodity-based business opportunities to the wider public and potential investors.

Helmi added that this activity is part of the efforts to promote the downstreaming of plantation products. By being directly involved in the modern business ecosystem, MSME actors are encouraged to not only sell raw materials, but also be able to process them into value-added products that have a competitive edge in the global market.

Furthermore, BPDP hopes that this initiative can spark the interest of the younger generation to enter the plantation sector. With a touch of innovation and professional business management, the plantation sector is expected to transform into a promising source of future economic opportunities and deliver a positive impact on national economic growth.
